Authoring Rule Applications for JavaScript

InRule for JavaScript includes the irAuthor extension irX for JavaScript, which allows you to easily write Rule Applications that target the .NET server-side, client, or both.

The irX for JavaScript extension includes the following features:

• A button on the ribbon that allows you to select the target execution platform (InRule, JavaScript, or both)
• A new Execute JavaScript Function action that allows you to invoke custom code contained in a JavaScript function
• The ability to package your Rule Application directly from irAuthor

Because of the limitations of JavaScript and other reasons, not all InRule features are available to InRule for JavaScript. Supported InRule Features contains details regarding which features are included.
