InRule Process Automation Version 2.88 Release Notes

  • Updated

December 2023

We have released a new version of Process Automation, version 2.88. As usual, it contains different improvements and adjustments. Some of them might not affect you directly, but you can be sure that we are constantly fixing and improving things behind the scenes to refine features that already exist, or to prepare for new features that are coming later.

New features

Bank ID

We are proud to release our BankID integration! BankID is now available for configuration on external Start and Intermediate Events. To start using BankID, please contact your customer representative. For more information, see the article, How To: Configure Events with BankID.

User Synch improvements

We have made a database improvement to how data is fetched when synching users through the API in order to improve the response times and increase performance.

Improvements to Instance Overview

  • Users want to be able to stop Instances, for example, if a case is interrupted or canceled. To accommodate this request, we have added a Stop Instance (1) feature to the Instance Overview. This means that all active and future tasks can be canceled, and the Instance will be marked as completed
  • We have added a Delete Instance (2) function to the Instance Overview because users also want to be able to delete Instances from the Instance Overview. For example, when multiple Instances have the same nameThe Delete Instance function will delete your Instance and redirect you to the Application Overview
  • To reduce complexity in the user interface, we have removed Reset in the Task List panel and Properties for... in the asset panel.

Value lists have been renamed

The name of value lists has changed to Standard Value lists. This change was made so that it is clearer which value list type is being referenced in the documentation.

Bug-fixes

User error when configuring messages was causing process applications to crash

Error

Leaving empty messaging fields in the Configure message interface of Process Studio would cause the application to crash.

The process will no longer crash, and it will warn you to fix your message fields.

This release also contains additional minor bug fixes and security updates.
