InRule Process Automation Version 2.83 - Release Notes

June 2023

We have released a new version of Process Automation, version 2.83. As usual, it contains different improvements and adjustments. Some of them might not affect you directly, but you can be sure that we are constantly fixing and improving things behind the scenes to refine features that already exist, or to prepare for new features that are coming later.

New features 

Make External Forms Accessible

To conform with web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) we have made some changes to tasks that will primarily affect how external intermediate events render forms to be interpreted by text-to-speech tools. 

• We have introduced the ability to set the HTML language tag in Forms, so that the text-to-speech tool knows which language to read in.
• Attachment fields can now be configured to contain empty text, which can be interpreted by the text-to-speech tool.
• To follow accessibility rules around contrasts in buttons, the start/submit button has changed color.

Documentation has moved and changes have been made to the Help button

The help center documentation previously hosted on help.bariumlive.com has now moved to support.inrule.com. As part of this release, clicking on the Help button in Process Automation now takes you to the new support site.

Process Studio Quick Guide Disabled 

The instructions that appeared when Process Studio was opened for the first time have been disabled. For an overview of the modeling tool, Process Studio, see the article Introduction to Process Studio.

Bug-fixes

Delayed Redaction of instances  
Error

If you are a user of the redaction feature, you may have noticed inconsistencies in the time at which instances were being redacted. 

Fix

The redaction feature is redacting instances at the expected time. 

This release also contains additional minor bug fixes and security updates.
